YOGATHON is a nationwide entry-free event initiated by ‘The Art of Living’ on April 7th 2012

Indore- Date- 06 April- YOGATHON is a nationwide entry-free event initiated by ‘The Art of Living’ on April 7th 2012- The World Health Day. While the benefits of Yoga are well known to the world, its practice is what creates a difference in the minds and bodies of people. Realizing this, the yogathon event has been initiated to create awareness about YOGA and build a “Healthier India for Today and Tomorrow”.
The Yogathon is a challenge to be held on 7th April. This challenge will drive people to participate in a competition of Surya Namaskar. The event is going to be held all over India and will see widespread participation from across the country. Whoever completes 108 rounds of Surya Namaskar will get the ‘Gold Certificate’ from The Art of Living.  All others who will participate in this event will get a ‘Spirit of Yoga Certificate’.  All institutions will be awarded with an Institutional Certificate by The Art of Living, the fastest growing volunteer based NGO with a presence in over 151 countries worldwide. Founded by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravishankarji, the aim of the organization is “to create a stress-free and violence-free society”. 
       In Indore we are having Yogathon conducted at Police Ground, Police line, Jail Road. Also at 5 main parks- Saket, Meghdoot, Matlani, Lalbagh and Narsingh Vatika- all in the morning from 6 to 7.30 am
Also at schools, colleges, prisons namely:
      Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, Prestige Institute, Queens College, National Public school, Vaishnav Bal Mandir, Sri Vaishnav Academy, The Millennium School(AB bypass road), Jila Jail, Radio colony…………. and many more at their convenient time.
